Barcelona defeated Villarreal with 5-1 on Sunday in matchday 6 of the Spanish La Liga.
Barcelona’s goals came from Robert Lewandowski, who scored in the 20th and 35th minutes, Pablo Torre in the 58th minute, and Raphinha with a brace in the 75th and 83rd minutes. Villarreal’s lone goal was scored by Ayoze Perez in the 38th minute.
With this win, Barcelona’s points tally rose to 18, placing them at the top of the table. Meanwhile, Villarreal remains at 11 points, now in fifth place, suffering their first defeat of the season.
In other matches today, Athletic Bilbao defeated Celta Vigo 3-1, Getafe drew 1-1 with Leganes, and Rayo Vallecano also drew 1-1 with Atletico Madrid.
The sixth round of matches will conclude tomorrow with Real Betis facing Real Mallorca.
