Doha Forum Participates in CyberTech Governance Workshop in New York

General Manager of Doha Forum, Maha Al Kuwari, participated in a workshop on cybertech governance as part of the Summit of Future Action Days in New York.

Themed “Harnessing AI and other Cyber-technologies for a Safe, Just and Sustainable Future”, the workshop comes within the framework of the United Nations ImPACT Coalition on AI and Cybertech Governance.

Al Kuwari focused during the workshop on the findings and recommendations of the Future of International Cooperation Report 2024 ((FIC24) ), which was issued in cooperation with the Stimson Center, the Global Governance Innovation Network, and the Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s Global Institute for Strategic Research.

The report highlighted the importance of multi-stakeholder cooperation to address risks and opportunities of cybertech governance, which is highly important in implementing the Global Digital Compact, Al Kuwari said.

The workshop featured diverse experiences and perspectives from high-level participants from the governments of Zambia and
France, the Digital Cooperation Organization, the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research (UNU-CPR), Microsoft, the International Telecommunication Union, the UN Development Program, the Engage AI initiative for artificial intelligence-powered solutions, among others.
