Muscat stock exchange index declines at closing


USCAT – SABA: Muscat Stock Exchange “30” index in Oman fell by 24.6 points, or 0.52 percent, closing at 4701.92 points on Thursday, down from 4726.52 points in the previous session.

Trading value was reported at 3,242,423 Omani riyals, a significant decline of 63.7 percent from the last session’s 8,926,923 Omani riyals. The market value also decreased by 0.128 percent, totaling approximately 24.53 billion Omani riyals.

Non-Omani purchases amounted to 582,000 Omani riyals, making up 17.96 percent of trades, while non-Omani sales reached 820,000 Omani riyals, or 25.30 percent. Consequently, net non-Omani investment declined by 238,000 Omani riyals, a drop of 7.34 percent.
