Ooredoo Stars League: Al Sadd and Al Gharafa Coaches Confirm Difficulty of Thursday’s Match

Doha: Al Sadd’s coach Felix Sanchez stressed the difficulty of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 6 match against Al Gharafa that will take place tomorrow.

Sanchez said in the pre-match press conference, “We have a very difficult match against Al Gharafa, we know that after the last match it is very important to show the fans that we want to return to the competition and perform well.” He added that “Al Gharafa is a very organized team in defense and the match will be difficult, but we are confident in our ability to play well.” Al Sadd’s coach confirmed that his team is looking forward to achieving a positive result after the two consecutive losses in the last two rounds of the league, and said, “It is important to show the fans that the team is ready and that we have the desire to perform much better.” Al Sadd lost in the last two matches in the league against Umm Salal by three goals to one, and against Al Duhail by five goals to one, which led to the team’s ranking dropping to seventh place with six points.

In turn, Al Gharafa coach, Pedro Martins, stressed the difficulty of his team’s match against Al Sadd, stressing that his team will do its utmost to achieve victory and collect the three points.

He said, “I expect Al Sadd to be at their best. Al Sadd usually do not play two bad matches, so we are waiting for the best from the opponents. We want to win and will fight for that, it will be an interesting match.

Martins confirmed that his team is able to return and achieve positive results and provide the best performance like the one it provided last year, even if it did not perform in some of the past matches as required and did not achieve the desired results.

Al Gharafa currently sits in fourth place in the league standings, having earned 8 points from their first five matches.
