Ten ‘extremely dangerous’ terrorists were killed in Northern Sinai as part of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ counterterrorism efforts in the peninsula, according the Middle East News Agency (MENA).
In a statement Sunday, the Armed Forces said they stormed a terrorist hideout in the area and killed 10 after an exchange of fire before arresting another element while he was trying to flee.
“Weapons, ammunition, hand grenades, explosive belts, launchers, grenades, high explosive TNT and wireless devices were found in their possession,” the statement reads.
Legal measures are being taken by the investigation authorities concerned, it concluded.
