Dallas: More than 1,800 flights were delayed and hundreds were canceled at the two Dallas-area airports on Friday, following a telecom outage that led the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to issue ground stops. According to Emirates News Agency, the FAA reported that they were slowing traffic due to a local telephone company equipment issue that did not involve FAA equipment. The FAA is collaborating with the telephone company to determine the cause of the outage. Abu dhabi: The bodies of 19 people were recovered after the rubber migrant boat they were in sank off the eastern Libyan coast, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said Friday. The boat, which was carrying more than 70 Sudanese and South Sudanese nationals, set sail on 9th September from a beach near the town of Kambout and sank the same day, an IOM spokesperson reported. According to Emirates News Agency, a total of 14 people were rescued five days later, while 42 others remain missing. It was unclear how those rescued managed to survive at sea during that time.
