Abu dhabi: Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – KEZAD Group today announced that China Southern Glass (CSG), a global leader in energy-saving glass and advanced materials, will establish its first overseas intelligent manufacturing facility in the UAE. The project represents an investment of AED300 million by CSG in ICAD 1, Musaffah, and will create 400 specialised and technical jobs, supporting the emirate’s ambition to drive industrial growth and economic diversification. According to Emirates News Agency, located on a 95,000 square metre plot within ICAD 1, the facility will serve as CSG’s regional headquarters for the manufacture of high-performance energy-saving glass.

Paris: The UAE National Anti-Doping Agency (UAE NADA) is set to join the 10th session of the Conference of Parties (COP10) to the International Convention against Doping in Sport. This significant event will be hosted by UNESCO at its Paris headquarters from October 20th to 22nd. Zhejiang: East China’s Zhejiang Province has handled more than 200,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of import and export cargo via the China-Europe Railway Express so far in 2025, marking a 17.9 percent increase year-on-year. According to Emirates News Agency, as one of the 14 China-Europe freight train hubs in the country, Zhejiang now operates 26 stable routes, connecting to more than 50 countries and 160 cities. The province leads the Yangtze River Delta and ranks among the top three nationwide in outbound shipment volume.

Abu dhabi: Poland’s unemployment rate increased to 5.6 percent in September. According to Emirates News Agency, at the end of September, there were around 867,600 people unemployed across the country, up by 10,300 compared with the previous month, government data showed. The state-run Statistics Poland agency (GUS) reported last month that the jobless rate had risen to 5.5 percent in August, from 5.4 percent in July.

Beijing: China’s foreign exchange reserves reached US$3.3387 trillion at the end of September, marking an increase of US$16.5 billion, or 0.5 percent, compared with the end of August, official data showed Tuesday.
