Abu Dhabi Customs Records Over 10% Growth in Digital Transactions


Abu dhabi: The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs has reported a 10.08 percent increase in total customs transactions through digital platforms from January to August 2025, compared to the same period in 2024.

According to Emirates News Agency, proactive transactions accounted for 28.93 percent of total customs transactions, while customs declarations saw an 18 percent rise during the first eight months of this year. Notably, pre-arrival clearance transactions made up 82 percent of the total clearance procedures across the emirate’s customs ports.

Abu Dhabi Customs achieved a customer satisfaction rate of 95.94 percent for its services through the Abu Dhabi Government digital services platform TAMM, improving on the 94.17 percent satisfaction rate during the same period in 2024. Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs, highlighted that these positive growth indicators reflect the administration’s commitment to advancing the customs work system and achieving comprehensive di
gital transformation in service delivery.

Al Mansoori emphasized that this progress aligns with the vision and directives of the Abu Dhabi Government to build a sustainable and resilient economy based on knowledge and technology. This initiative aims to enhance Abu Dhabi’s attractiveness as a preferred destination for business and trade, contributing to the emirate’s comprehensive economic development goals.

He also mentioned the development of various digital services, including Clearance of Goods, Customs Exit/Entry Certificates, and services for modifying or canceling customs declarations. New payment methods have been introduced, leading to a 19.72 percent increase in completed transactions via direct integration with express shipping systems in the first eight months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Additionally, these advancements resulted in a 10.98 percent reduction in customer effort.
