Abu Dhabi hosts 5th Global Professional Kickboxing Championship


ABU DHABI: On the evening of February 24, 2024, the prestigious Mubadala Dome at Al Jazira Club will transform into a battleground for the fifth edition of the Global Professional Kickboxing Championship. This event, presented by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, is not just a competition; it’s a celebration of martial arts, showcasing the spirit, strength, and skill of fighters from across the globe.

Event Highlights:

Welterweight World Title Defense: The spotlight shines on the welterweight world champion, Andrea Santos from Portugal, as he prepares to defend his title against the Spanish sensation, Khizer Nawaz. This fight promises to be a strategic and powerful display from two of the sport’s best.

Super-Middleweight Clash: The UAE’s Elias Habib Ali faces off against Brazil’s Gustavo Jones in a super-middleweight showdown. Elias aims to extend his winning streak, backed by an impressive record of 27 victories, including 8 knockouts.

Diverse International Representation: Athletes from ove
r 20 countries, including Egypt, Morocco, France, Portugal, Japan, Spain, and China, will grace the event, reflecting the UAE’s pivotal role in the international kickboxing community.

Empowering Women Fighters: Highlighting the rise of women in combat sports, the championship will feature three eagerly awaited women’s fights, showcasing their prowess and dedication.
