ADAA Hosts Second Edition of Community of Practice for Internal Auditors

Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA), alongside the UAE Accountability Authority and the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi, successfully organized the second edition of the Community of Practice (CoP) for internal auditors within entities subject to ADAA’s mandate.

According to Emirates News Agency, this strategic initiative underscores the persistent efforts by accountability authorities across the UAE to elevate the standards and efficacy of internal audit practices. It aims to foster transparency, integrity, and accountability while enhancing governance within both local and federal government bodies.

The event saw participation from over 300 individuals, including heads and senior officials of internal audit departments and governance experts from Abu Dhabi and across the UAE. Notably, this edition featured involvement from internal audit officials of federal entities and the UAE Internal Audit Association, highlighting its expanded scope.

Key topics addressed during the event included recent updates on auditing regulations and standards, strategies to improve the efficiency of governance roles, digital transformation in internal auditing, and a panel discussion on the Role of Internal Audit in Enhancing the Quality of Statutory Audit Outcomes.

This Community of Practice represents a pivotal advancement towards institutional integration among regulatory bodies and internal audit professionals, aiming to protect public resources and promote governance best practices.
