Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) is set to participate in the 23rd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2026 (ADIHEX), scheduled to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 28th August to 6th September 2026.

According to Emirates News Agency, ADAFSA will use its pavilion to display its strategic initiatives aimed at safeguarding animal health, enhancing biosecurity, and ensuring the sustainability of livestock resources. The exhibition will serve as a platform for ADAFSA to present its extensive veterinary, research, and regulatory services, which play a crucial role in supporting food security and promoting the well-being of the community.

ADAFSA's involvement underscores its dedication to increasing community awareness about animal health and advocating for the 'One Health' concept, which acknowledges the intrinsic link between human, animal, plant, and environmental health.

ADAFSA will also focus on educating the public about zoonotic diseases and preventive measures. In addition, the authority aims to highlight career opportunities and specialisations available in the veterinary sector, encouraging students and young individuals to consider pursuing veterinary medicine as a career path.

The pavilion will offer visitors an immersive experience of the UAE's livestock sector, emphasizing ADAFSA's leading role in overseeing and protecting it. This includes showcasing ADAFSA's efforts in promoting biosecurity through various veterinary, preventive, and research services such as animal identification, vaccination, veterinary care, feed quality testing, and the development of improved livestock breeds.

Furthermore, the pavilion will illustrate the interconnectedness of the sector's components and their contribution to achieving food security and livestock sustainability, reinforcing ADAFSA's vision to safeguard both animal health and community well-being.
