ADGM Academy Partners with Abu Dhabi Family Business Council to Enhance Family Business Excellence


Abu dhabi: ADGM Academy (ADGMA), the knowledge arm of Abu Dhabi Global Market, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Family Business Council (ADFBC), which is affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Chamber. This partnership marks a significant milestone in collaborative efforts to strengthen and future-proof the family business sector in Abu Dhabi.



According to Emirates News Agency, the collaboration aims to design and deliver advanced training and awareness programs, educational seminars, and capacity-building initiatives tailored to the unique needs of family businesses in Abu Dhabi. The partnership will focus on key areas such as family governance, succession planning, wealth management, understanding global best practices, leadership and entrepreneurship development, and skills for resolving family conflicts. These areas are considered essential for sustainable growth and generational continuity.



The agreement also leverages the Academy’s research capabilities, global network of academic and industry experts, and resources to develop insightful thought-leadership, practical workshops, and digital learning tools and platforms. Additionally, dedicated events with international experts and speakers will be organized to address the evolving needs of family business members.



These initiatives aim to enhance the knowledge ecosystem for family businesses, support family business projects and initiatives, and empower future leaders to navigate evolving challenges with resilience, preparedness, and strategic insight.



The MoU was signed during a formal ceremony at the ADGM Academy Innovation Hub by Mansoor Jaffar, CEO of ADGMA and Research Centre, and Ali Mohamad Al Marzooqi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, highlighting the strategic importance of this alliance.



Mansoor Jaffar commented on the MoU, stating that the partnership with the Abu Dhabi Family Business Council reinforces ADGM Academy’s commitment to driving national development and knowledge transfer. He emphasized that family businesses form the backbone of the UAE’s economy, and the partnership aims to equip them with the necessary tools, skills, and strategic foresight to thrive across generations with agility and confidence.



Ali Mohamad Al Marzooqi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, remarked that the agreement marks a milestone in strengthening Abu Dhabi’s business environment and competitiveness on a regional and global scale. He noted that the collaboration with ADGM Academy underscores a commitment to supporting family businesses by helping them adopt global best practices for continuity and growth across generations.
