Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, has announced the establishment of the 'Dubai Media Narrative Committee' through Council Decision No. (16) of 2026. This new initiative aims to define the framework and strategic priorities of Dubai's media narrative across both public and private sectors.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Committee, chaired by Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, is set to reinforce the coherence and effectiveness of Dubai's key messages. These efforts will further strengthen the emirate's global position as a model city for the future. The Committee's establishment marks a strategic move towards creating a unified media narrative that enhances Dubai's global standing.
The Committee includes prominent figures such as Nehal Badri, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, Younus Al Nasser, and several other key leaders from different sectors. Their collective expertise will guide Dubai's media efforts to ensure a consistent and impactful message. Mona Al Marri emphasized the importance of a coordinated media narrative to communicate Dubai's message effectively on the global stage, highlighting the need for clear messaging and rapid responsiveness.
The Committee will propose policies and plans for Dubai's media narrative, ensuring unified messaging and coordinating media efforts across various sectors. It will also develop key performance indicators to measure the impact of these efforts and provide analytical reports to aid decision-making. The aim is to safeguard Dubai's development achievements and counter misinformation through transparent communication.
The Dubai Media Narrative Committee will receive administrative and technical support from the General Secretariat of the Dubai Media Council, ensuring it fulfills its mandate efficiently. The Decision mandates full cooperation from all government entities and relevant organizations in Dubai to support the Committee's objectives.
