Dubai: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and in the presence of dignitaries and global executives, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the 11th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) at Madinat Jumeirah.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event, themed 'Bridging Communities,' featured a mural unveiling that traced a century of public transport infrastructure development in Dubai. The mural, entitled 'A Century of Mobility in Dubai,' highlighted milestones from the era of the late Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum to modern advancements under His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The mural depicted the evolution of Dubai's road networks and public transport systems, including significant projects like the Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram, which exemplify the emirate's commitment to integrating advanced mobility solutions.
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed reviewed the Dubai Auto Market development project and the Emaar Properties metro station, both symbolizing Dubai's forward-thinking urban development. The auto market is poised to be the largest globally, with comprehensive facilities designed to accommodate up to 800,000 vehicles annually. Meanwhile, the metro station, inspired by the concept of a Gateway, stands as a testament to Dubai's architectural innovation and future-focused vision.
During the forum's opening session, Andre Agassi shared insights on leadership and philanthropy, emphasizing education as a catalyst for sustainable change. Agassi, known for his humanitarian efforts through the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, highlighted the alignment between sports discipline and effective project management. He discussed the foundation's impact in building schools and fostering global educational initiatives, stressing the importance of integrating education into sports programs to develop life skills and resilience.
