Miami: H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, and H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, attended the graduation ceremony of the first cohort of the Dubai Health Leadership Academy’s Systems Leadership Program.
According to Emirates News Agency, the program, delivered in collaboration with the University of Oxford’s Sad Business School, celebrated the graduation of 40 participants at the Museum of The Future. H.H. Sheikh Ahmed congratulated the graduates, underscoring the importance of leadership development in advancing healthcare in Dubai. He emphasized the role of these leaders in transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation in the sector.
H.H. Sheikh Mansoor expressed pride in the graduation of the first cohort, highlighting the importance of building leaders for a sustainable health system informed by global practices. The event was attended by prominent figures including Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, Dr. Alawi Alsheikh-Ali, Dr. Amer Sharif, and representatives from Oxford Sad Business School, including Dr. Eleanor Murray and Dr. Mark O’Brien.
Dr. Alawi Alsheikh-Ali noted that the program serves as a catalyst for health system transformation by developing leaders who can navigate complexity and champion the values of Dubai’s health sector. Dr. Amer Sharif expressed gratitude to the supporters and partners of the program, acknowledging the impact of their contributions.

Launched in September 2024, the Dubai Health Leadership Academy and its Systems Leadership Program aim to cultivate leadership talent for the healthcare sector’s advancement. Over 14 months and four modules, participants engaged in practice-oriented learning, supported by executive coaching and insights from Oxford Sad Business School experts.
