AI Everything Abu Dhabi 2026 Highlights AI’s Role in Future Development

Abu Dhabi:Discussions on the second day of Ai Everything Abu Dhabi 2026 focused on AI's impact on various sectors, as global AI leaders and government officials explored the safe and responsible integration of advanced AI systems in industries such as manufacturing, government services, and education.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event, which hosted over 400 enterprises, 180 speakers, and numerous executives from more than 105 countries, underscored Abu Dhabi's growing influence in the global intelligence economy. A key topic was the transition of AI from digital to physical applications, with Marc Raibert of the RAI Institute and Boston Dynamics highlighting the future of robotics and humanoid integration in daily life.

Research from the Bank of America Institute suggests a significant increase in humanoid robot shipments, potentially reaching 10 million annually by 2035. Raibert emphasized the challenges and opportunities in robotics, noting advancements in reinforcement learning and the importance of large language models in human-robot communication.

The event also highlighted the necessity for governments to develop AI capabilities by equipping citizens with relevant skills. Mariam Al Musharrekh from Abu Dhabi's Department of Government Enablement shared insights on training government employees to foster an AI-ready workforce, aiming to establish the first AI-native government by 2027.

Prof. Ebrahim Al Hajri of Khalifa University discussed the evolving educational landscape, stressing the need for universities to prepare students for an AI-driven future while maintaining core human values in education. He outlined the university's curriculum focused on fostering independence, creativity, and entrepreneurship among graduates.

Abu Dhabi's Alef Education demonstrated AI applications in education, showcasing initiatives like Alef Pathways that support personalized learning and AI literacy in English and Arabic. CEO Geoffrey Alphonso highlighted the importance of understanding AI's functions and limitations as it becomes more embedded in education.

Khalifa University Enterprises Company showcased AI ventures addressing challenges in fields such as healthcare and sustainability, bridging the gap between academic research and commercial application.
