Air Arabia Expands European Network with New Sharjah-Katowice Route

Sharjah: Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa's first and largest budget carrier operator, announced the launch of four weekly non-stop flights between Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) and Katowice International Airport (KTW), starting 17 December 2026. The new service will be operated by an Airbus A320neo aircraft and will mark Air Arabia's third destination in Poland from Sharjah, following Krak³w and Warsaw Chopin.

According to Emirates News Agency, this new service will provide customers with a convenient and affordable travel option between the UAE and southern Poland, further expanding the airline's growing European network. Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, expressed his satisfaction in adding Katowice to their network, emphasizing the service's role in supporting tourism, business, and economic ties between the UAE and Poland.

Artur Tomasik, CEO of Katowice Airport, welcomed Air Arabia's decision to launch the Sharjah-Katowice route, highlighting the enhanced connectivity it brings to Katowice Airport. The new connection is expected to facilitate travel for residents of southern Poland by providing better access to Air Arabia's extensive range of destinations and ensuring fast transfers at Sharjah Airport to numerous Asian markets. Additionally, the route will offer United Arab Emirates residents improved travel options to Poland for both business and tourism purposes.
