AJMAN: Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, discussed with Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, ways to develop bilateral trade and increase mutual investment opportunities in the fields of manufacturing industry, agricultural products and renewable energy.
The meeting was attended by Ali Rashid Al Kaitoob, Executive Director of the Studies and Investment Development Sector at the Ajman Chamber, and Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor at the Consulate of Pakistan.
Salem Al Suwaidi emphasised the importance of the meeting and its role in opening a channel for direct communication to discuss opportunities for joint cooperation between Ajman and Pakistan.
He noted that in 2023, 4,194 Pakistani businessmen became members of the Ajman Chamber, primarily active in the retail, construction, manufacturing, and hospitality sectors.
Hussain Mohammed highlighted key sectors in Pakistan, including textiles, clothing, and agriculture,
and emphasised the importance of exhibitions in boosting trade. He invited the Ajman Chamber to participate in the upcoming textile and clothing expo in Karachi this October, a global platform for showcasing innovations and fostering cooperation between companies in both countries.
