Ajman Municipality and ERC Collaborate on ‘Giving Caravan’ Initiative.


Ajman: The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman recently welcomed a delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) to discuss the launch of the “Giving Caravan” initiative, aimed at enhancing community service through joint efforts.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures including Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, Director of the MPDA’s Agriculture and Public Parks Department, and Mohammed Omar Al Shammari, Director of the ERC Centre in Ajman. Other notable attendees included Kholoud Ali Moussa, Aisha Obaid Al Kaabi, and Sultan Al Suwaidi from the ERC. The focus of the meeting was to align joint activities, with Al Safia Park in Ajman selected as the venue for the “Giving Caravan,” set to take place from November 28th to December 2nd, 2024.

Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi expressed the MPDA’s pride in partnering with EmiratesRC for the “Giving Caravan,” emphasizing its role in community solidarity and the MPDA’s commitment to supporting initiatives that provide health, social, and cu
ltural services. He highlighted the importance of community initiatives in improving life quality and fostering cooperation among different entities to serve the community. Al Muhairi described the “Giving Caravan” as a significant step towards addressing the needs of productive families and low-income groups, aligning with a broader vision for sustainable development.

The “Giving Caravan,” launched by EmiratesRC, aims to deliver comprehensive humanitarian services to various societal groups. It includes a range of programs such as healthcare, social services, and community awareness. Mobile health clinics will offer free medical examinations in areas like diabetes and blood pressure, alongside distributing medical devices to those in need.

The initiative also extends humanitarian aid to productive families and low-income individuals, featuring educational and awareness activities to boost health and social consciousness among the public, as noted by Al Muhairi. This endeavor reflects the ERC’s commitment t
o spreading noble values and humanitarian principles, particularly among underserved populations in critical sectors like health, education, and social care, thereby promoting community cohesion and solidarity.
