Albania Honours UAE Team and International Firefighting Crews for Wildfire Efforts

Tirana: The Albanian government has officially recognised the efforts of various international rescue teams, including a distinguished team from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), for their pivotal roles in battling recent forest wildfires across the region. The recognition ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, alongside senior military leaders, who expressed gratitude for the contributions made by these teams.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event highlighted Albania's appreciation for the national forces and volunteers dedicated to enhancing security and effectively responding to natural disasters and humanitarian crises. The UAE team, in particular, was acknowledged for their significant contributions to relief and humanitarian operations, underscoring the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and Albania. This recognition further cements the UAE's prominent role in international humanitarian efforts.

The Albanian authorities extended their gratitude to all participants, which involved over 10,000 personnel, and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between national forces and international partners. This cooperation is deemed essential to bolster Albania's ability to address future challenges effectively.
