Algeria’s Foreign Ministry announced Monday the starting of evacuating its diplomats and citizens from Khartoum after clashes increased between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces.
The decision comes within the framework of ensuring the safety of Algerian’s community in Sudan after this regretful crisis in Sudan, the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry is following up closely the situation in that sisterly country through a cell formed for this purpose, it added.
The statement called on Algerians in Sudan to be extremely cautious and contact constantly with the ministry to inform it about their situation.
