Berlin: A specialised symposium on the development of news agency journalism is scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany, on 6th October, featuring participation from several Arab news agencies alongside the German Press Agency (dpa). Organised by the General Secretariat of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA), this event aims to explore avenues for improving agency performance and enhancing staff expertise in light of current advancements in communications and artificial intelligence.
According to Emirates News Agency, the symposium will also focus on strategies to combat the spread of false news on social media, which can have detrimental impacts on societies. Several Arab news agencies, along with FANA’s secretariat, are expected to present reports during the meeting, with the goal of bolstering cooperation with dpa.
