Arab League to attend Arab Media Forum

The Arab League said on Saturday that it would partake in the Arab Media Forum due in Kuwait on Sunday under auspices of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Sabah.

The Cairo-based bloc’s participation in the event reflects the significance and attention it pays to joint Arab media action, Assistant Secretary-General for Media and Communications Ambassador Ahmad Khattabi said in a press statement.

The league commits to throwing much weight behind the activities and events of Arab organizations and agencies working under the umbrella of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, he said.

Therefore, he maintained, the bloc is keen on participating in Kuwait-hosted Arab Media Forum while marking the 20th anniversary of its creation.

The event features 14 seminars dealing with a host of media issues, with the participants mainly discussing Arab drama, media and marketing strategies as well as role in media in economic development.
