Arab Youth Centre and Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council Foster Entrepreneurial Growth Among Young Arab Innovators

Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council, part of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the Arab Youth Centre (AYC), hosted a youth circle titled “Enhancing Arab Youth Entrepreneurship in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.” This event was a key part of the fourth edition of the Young Arab Pioneers initiative, held from 14-19 September 2025 at the Emirates Foundation headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The event was under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, and Chairman of the Arab Youth Centre (AYC).

According to Emirates News Agency, the circle gathered 40 Arab pioneers from the initiative for a direct dialogue with senior officials from local government entities. Moderated by Saeed Al Dhaheri, a Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council, the discussion underscored the essential role of Arab youth in shaping the future economy. Participants explored practical measures to promote innovation and sustainable development, emphasizing the necessity of government and private sector collaboration to empower young people in Abu Dhabi.

Eng. Fatima Al Halami, CEO of the AYC, noted that the Young Arab Pioneers initiative provides a platform for participants to engage with leaders in development sectors and decision-makers. The youth circle facilitated by the Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council exemplifies this objective by broadening the horizons for participating youth. The initiative combines specialised training, field visits, and connections with entrepreneurship ecosystems, enabling entrepreneurs to transform ideas into scalable, sustainable models.

Mansour Al Sayegh, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council, expressed that the circle serves as a strategic platform for fostering communication among Arab youth. He outlined key priorities for advancing Arab youth entrepreneurship, such as expanding access to finance and creating regulatory frameworks that foster innovation. The Abu Dhabi Youth Business Council is addressing these through initiatives that strengthen partnerships, provide incubator platforms, and offer specialised training programmes.

The discussions revealed a growing awareness among youth participants of the importance of developing entrepreneurial skills. Participants emphasized that such dialogues create direct communication channels between economic leaders and young people, reinforcing their confidence to lead innovative projects and opening new avenues for entrepreneurship in Abu Dhabi and the wider region.
