Tunis:Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), has received a message of gratitude from Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of Bahrain's Council of Representatives, for the UAE National Guard's Coast Guard Division. The commendation was for their prompt rescue of Asian crew members from an oil tanker that caught fire in the Arabian Gulf.

According to Emirates News Agency, Al Musallam praised the swift and effective response of the Coast Guard Division, noting their readiness, professionalism, and commitment to preserving lives and ensuring maritime safety.

He further emphasized the importance of enhancing regional and international cooperation to protect commercial vessels, safeguard maritime navigation, support energy security, and ensure the smooth flow of international trade. This collaboration contributes to regional and international security and stability.
