Abu dhabi: Burjeel Holdings, a super-speciality healthcare services provider in the MENA region, has announced the opening of its latest facility, Burjeel Medical Centre, located in Al Falah. According to Emirates News Agency, the new centre was inaugurated by Dr. Saif Sultan Al Nasri, Undersecretary of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, at its location inside Al Falah Central Mall. The launch event was attended by several notable figures, including Dr. Fayeza Saif Alyafei, Executive Director of the Healthcare Quality Sector at the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi; Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings; Omran Al Khoori, Member of the Board of Directors of Burjeel Holdings; and John Sunil, CEO of Burjeel Holdings. The facility offers specialities such as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. It integrates mental health and wellness services into primary care to provide support that addresses both physical and emotional well-bei ng. The centre is equipped with diagnostic and support services, including ultrasound, X-ray, IV infusions, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing. It also provides preventive screenings, smoking cessation programmes, autism screening and support, and immunisation and vaccination services. John Sunil, CEO of Burjeel Holdings, stated that the new centre is a significant milestone in the Group's mission to strengthen the primary care foundation of Abu Dhabi's healthcare system. He emphasised the importance of primary care as the cornerstone of a robust healthcare network, ensuring communities have access to trusted medical expertise and seamless referral pathways. Dr. Khuloud Al Zubaidi, Medical Director and Specialist in Family Medicine, highlighted the centre's aim to provide high standards of healthcare directly to the community, ensuring families receive expert care locally. The centre is committed to trust, accessibility, and personalised attention in every visit. In addition to clinical servi ces, the centre will engage actively with the community through year-round programmes focused on preventive care, early detection, and health awareness.
