CENTCOM Redirects 49 Commercial Vessels Amid Ongoing Blockade of Iranian Ports

Seoul: US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Thursday that US forces have successfully redirected 49 commercial vessels as part of the ongoing naval blockade against Iran.

According to Emirates News Agency, this enforcement action is part of the United States military's resumed efforts to impose a naval blockade on Iranian ports and coastal areas, which began on July 14, 2026. In addition to redirecting vessels, CENTCOM reported that two vessels have been disabled and another two boarded since the blockade's resumption. The statement was made via a post on X, further highlighting the continued tension and strategic military operations in the region.
