China: China on Tuesday launched a new satellite for geographic research purposes from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in the country's northwest. According to Emirates News Agency, the Tianhui-7 satellite was launched aboard a Long March-4B rocket and has successfully entered its planned orbit. The satellite will primarily be used for geographic mapping, land resource surveys, and scientific research.
