China’s Central SOEs Reach US$13.66 Trillion in Assets by 2025


Beijing: The total assets of China’s state-owned enterprises (SOEs) directly administered by the central government surpassed 95 trillion yuan (about US$13.66 trillion) in 2025, official data showed on Wednesday.



According to Emirates News Agency, China Central Television (CCTV) reported that the State Council Information Office highlighted the impressive financial performance of these central SOEs, with total profits reaching 2.5 trillion yuan (about US$360 billion) in the same year.



By the end of 2025, the central SOEs not only exceeded 95 trillion yuan in total assets but also achieved significant profit margins. Additionally, these enterprises completed fixed asset investments amounting to 5.1 trillion yuan and contributed 2.5 trillion yuan in taxes and fees, underscoring their substantial role in the national economy.
