Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Explores Cultural Heritage at Ethnic Village in Astana


Astana: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has visited the Ethnic Village in Astana as part of his official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was accompanied by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during this cultural exploration.



According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed was briefed on various activities that highlight Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage, including artistic performances, traditional crafts, and visual arts. The tour emphasized the rich culture of Kazakhstan through displays of national costumes and folkloric performances.



Key elements of Kazakh heritage were showcased, such as falconry, horse racing, horseback archery, and demonstrations of the traditional Kazakh Tazy hunting dogs. These cultural practices are integral to the nation’s identity and have been preserved for generations.



H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed commended the Ethnic Village as a cultural destination and praised the Kazakh government for its efforts in preserving and promoting national heritage. He stressed the importance of passing these traditions to future generations with innovative initiatives that ensure their sustainability.



The Crown Prince was joined by members of the official UAE delegation during his tour, which underscored the diplomatic and cultural ties between the United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan.
