Abu dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is preparing to participate in ITB Berlin 2026 from March 3-5, continuing its tradition of showcasing at one of the world’s most significant travel trade events. This participation seeks to reinforce Abu Dhabi’s position as a prominent global destination for culture-led travel.

According to Emirates News Agency, DCT Abu Dhabi, along with its stakeholders, will engage with international travel trade partners to explore new collaborative opportunities, leveraging the emirate’s dynamic tourism offerings. The focus will be on providing meaningful visitor experiences, with the museums and institutions of Saadiyat Cultural District Abu Dhabi inviting global audiences to connect with the stories of the UAE and the world.

The Zayed National Museum, a recent addition to the district, will highlight the UAE’s history from ancient times to the present, honouring the legacy of the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The newly opened Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi will offer insights into a 13.8-billion-year journey of the universe, presenting natural history through an Arabian perspective. Additionally, the reopening of the Al Ain Museum underscores Abu Dhabi’s dedication to preserving its heritage.

The event coincides with Ramadan, a time of heightened interest in culturally immersive travel. The delegation will use this opportunity to educate visitors about the significance of the Holy Month, showcasing Abu Dhabi as an ideal destination for engaging with local traditions and heritage through spiritual experiences.

At the DCT Abu Dhabi exhibition stand, media and travel professionals will be invited to explore Abu Dhabi’s cultural landmarks. Interactive activations and displays will provide a preview of the emirate’s key cultural institutions and offerings.

DCT Abu Dhabi will also highlight tools designed to empower its partners, such as the Experience Abu Dhabi Experts e-learning platform, which offers in-depth destination knowledge and certification for travel professionals. Additionally, the Abu Dhabi Pass reseller portal will be showcased, providing agents with wholesale rates and a seamless booking experience to enhance their offerings.
