Abu dhabi: The Delegation of the European Union to the UAE hosted a reception on Friday evening to commemorate Europe Day. The event was graced by the presence of Faisal Eissa Lutfi, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Maqsoud Kruse, Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Countering Extremism and Terrorism and Chairman of the International Steering Board of Hedayah, the International Centre of Excellence for Countering Extremism and Violent Extremism.

According to Emirates News Agency, the reception was organized by Lucie Berger, Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to the UAE. It saw attendance from numerous officials and heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the UAE.

Ambassador Berger, during her speech, emphasized the profound cooperation and robust strategic partnership between the UAE and the European Union. She highlighted the ongoing growth and development of ties across multiple sectors.

She further elaborated that the UAE is a pivotal partner of the European Union, confirming that the relationship between the UAE and the EU continues to progress under a mutual vision centered on dialogue, openness, partnership, and constructive cooperation.
