DEWA International Signs Strategic MoUs at WETEX 2026

Dubai:During the 28th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2026), DEWA International signed four memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with globally renowned entities. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Chairman of DEWA International, was present at the signing ceremony, which marks a significant step in expanding the company's global project portfolio and growth opportunities.

According to Emirates News Agency, the signed MoUs aim to foster strategic partnerships with international institutions that have expertise in energy, water, and infrastructure projects. These collaborations are expected to facilitate knowledge exchange, adoption of best practices, and advanced technologies, thereby enhancing DEWA International's capabilities in clean energy transition and infrastructure resilience in the UAE, GCC, and global markets.

Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence and Vice Chairman of DEWA International, signed the MoUs in the presence of Al Tayer. The agreements include cooperation with EDF Middle East to explore energy and renewable energy opportunities, with potential investments in the MENA region. Another MoU with China Energy International Group aims to utilize its capabilities as an EPC partner for key projects.

A partnership with UK-based Capital Dynamics explores joint investments in operational clean energy assets in Europe, while an agreement with Tata Consultancy Services considers them as a potential technical consultancy partner for technology strategy and IT/OT integration. These strategic alliances are expected to support DEWA International's sustainable growth and diversification of its investment portfolio.
