Dubai: The 1 Billion Followers Summit, recognized as the world’s first and largest event dedicated to the content creation industry, has announced a significant partnership with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). DIFC, a leading global financial hub for the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, has joined the Summit as a Gold Partner for its fourth edition.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event is organized by the UAE Government Media Office and will be hosted in Dubai from January 9th to 11th, 2026. The venues for the event include Jumeirah Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future, under the theme ‘Content for Good.’ This strategic alliance highlights the UAE’s commitment to empowering creative content creators and positions the nation as a leader in new media and digital content.
Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of the DIFC Authority, emphasized the Centre’s role as a catalyst for innovation and creativity. He stated that this partnership aligns with DIFC’s mission to support initiatives that empower emerging entrepreneurs and content creators, who are integral to the economy’s future. Amiri also noted the importance of fostering a collaborative environment that transforms ideas into impactful outcomes, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a hub for future industries.
Alia AlHammadi, Vice Chairperson of the UAE Government Media Office and Director of the Summit, remarked on the significant value DIFC brings to the Summit. She highlighted the Centre’s reputation and expertise as a financial hub. AlHammadi stressed the importance of building an ecosystem for purposeful content creation, enabling creators to enhance their output and positively impact communities.
The partnership underscores the UAE’s strategic approach to integrating key sectors, reinforcing its leadership in the creative economy and digital media. It exemplifies collaboration among national institutions to empower content creators and foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
DIFC’s growth continues to accelerate, marking its influence as a global financial hub. In 2025, it celebrated a milestone with over 8,000 registered companies, including more than 1,000 regulated entities, making it a focal point for financial and innovation players in the region. The DIFC community comprises 48,000 professionals, showcasing its ability to attract global talent and innovators.
The upcoming fourth edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit builds on the success of its predecessor in 2025, which drew over 15,000 content creators, 420 speakers, and 125 CEOs and experts from around the globe.
