DoH, Accenture collaborate to drive digital transformation in healthcare


The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Accenture, a leading global professional services company. Through this strategic partnership, the parties aim to further solidify health data governance, elevate healthcare services, and enhance patient outcomes in the Emirate by leveraging Accenture’s advanced data and AI solutions and global expertise.

DoH and Accenture seek to harness the power of technology and cutting-edge innovations to drive significant advancements in the healthcare sector, with an emphasis on Data Governance Execution, Health AI Use Case Advisory, and Health Data Infrastructure, further reinforcing DoH’s commitment to building a resilient and innovative sector that is increasingly data-driven and technologically advanced.

In the presence of Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Under-Secretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the MoU was signed by Ibrahim Al Jallaf, Executive Director of Digital Health at DoH, and Nadya Abdulla Kamali,
UAE Country Managing Director of Accenture.

Through this collaboration, the two parties seek to further develop a sustainable, technology-enabled healthcare ecosystem focused on improving the long-term well-being of community members across the Emirate. DoH and Accenture will work hand in hand to implement robust data governance policies and processes that ensure effective data management and monitoring, adhering to the highest quality standards across the sector.

Furthermore, the parties will apply advanced tools for data standardisation, facilitating the seamless exchange of health information among healthcare providers, improving patient outcomes and operational effectiveness. This includes the development of personalised digital health platforms designed to enhance patient engagement and access to care, creating ‘A Healthier Abu Dhabi’ by encouraging care excellence through the integration of science, technology, and operational best practices to ensure the efficiency and sustainability of the healthcare sector.
