Kinshasa: The Democratic Republic of the Congo has recorded 71 new confirmed cases of Ebola within 24 hours. This significant increase in cases has been reported in the midst of ongoing efforts to contain the outbreak.
According to Emirates News Agency, the latest data from the Congolese Ministry of Health indicates that the total number of confirmed Ebola cases has now risen to 452 since the outbreak began. The current outbreak involves the Bundibugyo strain of the virus, which was first declared on May 15th. In addition, the documented death toll from the outbreak has reached 82, as health officials continue to monitor and address the situation.
