Abu dhabi: Dubai Police, represented by the Crime Prevention Department within the General Department of Criminal Investigation, recently organised the 'Residential Communities Security Forum' at the Dubai Police Officers Club. The event drew participation from various stakeholders, including officers from Dubai Police, representatives from the Security Industry Regulatory Agency, the Dubai Land Department, and the Real Estate Regulatory Agency, alongside 160 attendees from real estate development companies, jointly owned property management companies, residential community officials, and strategic partners.
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum was part of Dubai Police's efforts to strengthen relationships with strategic partners across several sectors, particularly those overseeing residential communities in Dubai. The initiative aims to enhance community partnerships and unify security efforts among all involved parties. Dubai Police emphasized the forum's role in achieving the strategic goal of making Dubai the safest city by promoting partnerships, spreading security awareness, and adopting global best practices and smart systems, including artificial intelligence, to improve safety and security in residential communities.
The forum provided a strategic platform to foster cooperation between Dubai Police, relevant institutions, real estate developers, and property management companies. During the event, discussions centered on raising awareness about fake links, fraudulent calls, impersonation of official entities, and the importance of safeguarding personal and banking information. Dubai Police urged residents to report any fraudulent attempts or suspicious activities through official channels. Attendees also learned about the "Police Eye" service, which facilitates communication with community members to report security observations and negative practices, enhancing response times and community involvement in supporting the security system.
An open panel discussion allowed participants from real estate companies, developers, jointly owned property management companies, and security officials to present inquiries, suggestions, and discuss challenges. This interaction contributed to developing joint work mechanisms and advancing the security system within residential communities.
