EDGE Secures Major Contracts to Supply 168 ANAVIA Unmanned Helicopters

Abu dhabi: EDGE, a prominent advanced technology and defence group, has secured two significant contracts to supply the ANAVIA HT-100 and HT-750 unmanned helicopters to the Ministry of Defence. These contracts represent one of the largest orders globally for autonomous unmanned aerial systems.

According to Emirates News Agency, the contracts will see ANAVIA, a Switzerland-based entity of EDGE, deliver 76 HT-100 and 92 HT-750 rotary-wing unmanned aerial systems to the Ministry of Defence. ANAVIA's CEO, Jon Andri J¶rg, emphasized the company's commitment to enhancing unmanned intelligence and logistics operations using cutting-edge autonomous systems. He highlighted the evolving global security landscape that increasingly favors unmanned solutions and reiterated ANAVIA's role in advancing high-performance systems within the UAE's technology ecosystem.

The HT-100 is valued for its versatility, capable of operating in various terrains and weather conditions, making it an effective alternative to manned rotorcraft for intelligence and data-gathering missions. Meanwhile, the HT-750 is designed for multi-role logistics missions, adept at carrying heavy payloads with stable flight performance.

These contracts, announced at the 2026 Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX), underscore EDGE's dedication to bolstering the UAE's national security by delivering state-of-the-art unmanned aerial systems on a large scale.
