Abu dhabi: Egypt condemned the Iranian attack on a vital civilian facility in Kuwait, saying the strike violated Kuwaiti sovereignty and threatened regional security.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Egyptian foreign ministry expressed that the attack targeted a power generation and water desalination plant, describing it as a "blatant violation" of Kuwait's sovereignty. The ministry emphasized that this act represents a dangerous escalation that could undermine stability in the Gulf region.
Egypt reiterated its unwavering solidarity with Kuwait and expressed support for all measures taken to safeguard Kuwait's security, stability, and critical infrastructure. The statement highlighted Egypt's rejection of attacks on civilian facilities and vital infrastructure, underscoring the direct threat such actions pose to civilians and regional stability.
Additionally, the ministry called for an immediate cessation of military escalation and urged all involved parties to engage in diplomatic efforts to preserve regional security and prevent further tensions in the area.
