Eight Violators of Hajj Regulations Receive Administrative Punishment for Transporting Non-Holders of Hajj Permit

Makkah: Eight violators of Hajj regulations and instructions — namely “no Hajj without a permit” — were immediately punished by Hajj law-enforcement authorities, the Ministry of the Interior (MoI) announced today.

The ministry said that the Hajj Security Forces arrested three residents and five citizens at the entrances of Makkah for having picked up 28 non-holders of Hajj permits.

Accordingly, the seasonal administrative committees of the General Directorate of Passports issued the following administrative decisions against them: a prison sentence for a period of 15 days for each carrier, together with a fine of SAR10,000, which is multiplied by the number of each violator transported. Moreover, their names will be announced in the media, with the expatriate carriers being prevented from re-entering the Kingdom according to the legally specified periods after the execution of the sentence. The three vehicles used in the group transportation will be judicially confiscated.

The MoI called on all citizens
and expatriates to abide by Hajj regulations and instructions so that the guests of Allah may enjoy safety, security, comfort and reassurance in performing their rituals.
