Elite Agro Holding Launches Seventh Farm in Morocco, Investment Surpasses AED500 Million

Kenitra: Elite Agro Holding, through its Moroccan subsidiary Elite Harvest Maroc, has inaugurated its seventh farm in the Kingdom of Morocco. This marks a significant milestone in the Group's international expansion and long-term investment in one of its most crucial agricultural markets.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event was graced by the presence of Dr Obaid Saif Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, along with local officials, partners, stakeholders, and members of the local community. The newly established 200-hectare farm in Kenitra is focused on the production of premium blueberries and raspberries. It employs advanced irrigation systems and modern agricultural technologies to ensure efficient, high-quality, and sustainable farming practices.

Hassan Halawy, Group CEO of Elite Agro Holding, emphasized that the opening of their seventh farm in Morocco is a pivotal step in the company's strategy to become the leading berry producer in the Arab world and a notable player in global markets. He highlighted Morocco's significance as their largest berry production platform, with ongoing plans to scale operations through a robust pipeline of projects. He noted that the berry sector is one of the fastest-growing categories in global fresh produce, positioning Elite Agro as a global player and trusted brand.

The inauguration underscores Elite Agro Holding's continued confidence in Morocco as a key agricultural growth market and strategic production platform. It also reaffirms the Group's commitment to sustainable agriculture, rural development, job creation, and enhancing the competitiveness of Moroccan agricultural exports internationally.

With direct investments in Morocco now exceeding AED500 million, Elite Agro Holding has become one of the country's significant foreign direct investors in agriculture. These investments have led to the creation of over 8,000 jobs, supporting the Group's belief in generating long-term economic and social value for local communities through sustainable agricultural development.

Elite Harvest Maroc operates multiple strategic production sites across key agricultural regions, including Kenitra, Sidi Yahya, Fes, Beni Mellal, Sefrou, Marrakech, and Benslimane. These sites cultivate a wide range of high-quality crops such as blueberries, raspberries, pomegranates, pears, apples, peaches, nectarines, grapes, cherries, citrus fruits, persimmons, and plums, catering to both domestic and international markets.
