Emirates News Agency:The Emirates Falcon Racing International Cup, an event dedicated to promoting the heritage and sport of falconry, is preparing for its second edition, scheduled to take place in Bahrain from December 2 to 5. This event aims to build on the success of its inaugural edition, which was held in Kuwait.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who holds several leadership roles within falconry sports organizations, emphasized the Cup's commitment to preserving the rich heritage of falconry while adapting it to modern sporting standards. The event, backed by the leadership of the UAE, seeks to showcase the sport on an international stage.

Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan expressed pride in Bahrain hosting the event, highlighting the championship as an exemplary Emirati model that supports the sport's growth in cooperation with other member states. He noted the positive reception from these states, indicating the event's strong objectives and potential for global reach.

Preparations are underway, with a recent meeting in Bahrain between the Higher Organizing Committee of the Emirates Falcon Racing International Cup and the Bahrain Committee for Folk Heritage Sports to finalize arrangements. Rashid bin Markhan, a key figure in the organizing committee, stated that ongoing efforts aim to maintain high standards for the event, ensuring an exceptional experience for participating falconers.

The Emirates Falcon Racing International Cup will feature seven rounds, including categories for various types of falcons. The UAE Falcons Federation plans to release further details on the championship's technical aspects and participation requirements soon. This initiative marks the first international championship under the UAE's name to be held outside its borders, as part of a broader strategy to position the UAE as a leading destination for falconry sports across different continents by the 2025-2026 season.
