Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi wins ‘European Society for Quality Research’ award

The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) announced today that it was one of the winners of the Quality Choice Prize for the Gold Category from the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).

EAD was recognised for its quality management and the implementation of its long list of programmes through which it has several achievements in the field of environmental protection and species preservation at the local, regional and global levels.

The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi is the first environmental institution in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to receive this prestigious international award, which is the highest award in the Excellence Model from ESQR.

Rashed Alremeithi, Executive Director, Corporate Services Sector, and Saoud Alneyadi, Director of Customer Happiness Division, represented EAD at the Awards ceremony, which was held in Barcelona, Spain on 3rd July, 2022.

At the event, 43 selected companies, public administrations and organisations representing 38 countries and different sectors across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Australia received the Quality Choice Prize 2022 at the Marriott Barcelona.

In her remarks on the Occasion, Dr. Shaikha Salem Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, said, “Improving the state of the environment in Abu Dhabi is our main mandate at EAD, and we work around the clock to ensure that all our activities are delivered on time and with state-of-the-art standards. We have a qualified team of experts, who base all our policies and regulations on very accurate scientific data and utilise the most advanced technology for maximum impact initiatives.

“Receiving the Quality Choice Golden Prize from ESQR is proof that we are moving in the right direction and that our work speaks for itself. This award will serve as a reminder that we need to maintain our high-quality standards in all our future endeavours and always strive to use updated modern processes and systems for our environmental efforts,” she added.
