Estonia strengthens global tech leadership with new UAE partnerships


Estonia took centre stage at GITEX Global 2024, highlighting its latest technological advancements and cementing its role as a global leader in digital innovation.

Trade Estonia, a part of Enterprise Estonia, led a delegation of seven top Estonian tech firms, showcasing solutions in fields such as cybersecurity, smart mobility, and Muon Flux technology for enhanced safety in construction monitoring.

These innovations reflect Estonia’s commitment to addressing global challenges and fostering a more secure, connected future.

A key highlight was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Bolt and Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), marking Bolt’s entry into the UAE market and expanding Estonia’s influence in the smart mobility sector.

Estonia also introduced a groundbreaking AI-driven automated manufacturing cell in collaboration with 5.0 Robotics and KUKA, bringing industrial technology to a wider audience. This compact, mobile system offers new opportunities for localised production and entrepre
neurship.

Additionally, Erkki Keldo, Estonia’s Minister of Economy and Industry, participated in a panel on digital economies, stressing Estonia’s contribution to sustainable technological progress.

Estonia’s presence was further enhanced by a ‘Meet Estonia’ networking event hosted by Maria Belovas, Ambassador of Estonia to the UAE, fostering stronger diplomatic and business ties between the two nations.

Estonia’s participation at GITEX Global 2024 underscored its leadership in technology and innovation, driving forward solutions for the future.
