EU Sends Emergency Aid to Ebola-Hit DR Congo Region

Bunia: The EU announced on Sunday that it has delivered 100 tonnes of humanitarian aid to a remote area in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, which is currently facing an Ebola outbreak. The aid package includes essential items such as medicine, tents, and protective gear aimed at supporting the region's efforts to combat the disease.

According to Emirates News Agency, the EU Commissioner for Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, arrived at Bunia airport on Sunday. During her visit, she emphasized the importance of ensuring that humanitarian and health workers have guaranteed access to the affected populations in need of assistance. The EU's initiative is part of an ongoing effort to provide critical support to regions battling health crises.
