The Women’s Authority in Sana’a province on Thursday organized events to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Zaid, known as the ally of the Qur’an.
Held in the New Sana’a and Sanhan districts, as well as in the villages of Beit Hamza and Beit al-Odhari in Hamdan district, participants highlighted the importance of remembering Imam Zaid’s sacrifice and courage in standing against injustice and tyranny.
The events drew parallels between the oppression faced by Imam Zaid and the current struggles of the Yemeni and Palestinian people against Zionist and American forces, urging action in the spirit of Imam Zaid’s declaration to not remain silent in the face of injustice.
The events featured various expressive segments and were followed by solidarity stands in support of the Palestinian people, endorsing all military operations by the Yemeni armed forces.
Statements from the stands expressed unequivocal support for leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in defending Y
emeni interests, supporting Palestinian resistance, and upholding Islamic sanctities.
The statements also affirmed a commitment to the principles and values championed by Imam Zaid, advocating for truth, religion, and the defense of the oppressed.
Praising the Yemeni armed forces’ bravery, the statements called for continued efforts in the current escalation phase and emphasized the active role of Yemeni women in supporting the Palestinian cause.
