First group of Jordanian pilgrims leave for Mecca

Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, Mohammad Khalayleh, on Wednesday saw off the first group of Jordanian pilgrims leaving for the holy city of Mecca to perform the Hajj from Amman's Giza pilgrim complex. Delivering a speech during the farewell ceremony, in presence of Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Nayef Al-Sudairi, Khalayleh said the ministry has made all efforts to provide means of comfort for the Kingdom's pilgrims. Khalayleh indicated that the delegations accompanying the Kingdom's pilgrims will work in "full swing and round the clock" to secure pilgrims' needs in the holy cities of Mecca and Madina. He also thanked Saudi Arabia and its ambassador to Jordan for their "constant" cooperation in providing means of comfort for the Kingdom's pilgrims in Saudi territories.
