First Russia-Emirates Business Forum to Foster Economic Ties in Dubai

Dubai: The Russian-Emirati Business Council (REBC), with support from Russia’s Industry and Trade Ministry, the Roscongress Foundation, and the Marathon Investment Group, will organize the inaugural Russia-Emirates Business Forum in Dubai on December 10, 2025. This event aims to become an integral part of the business agenda between Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with plans for it to be an annual occurrence.

According to Emirates News Agency, the forum will see the participation of representatives from prominent Russian and UAE companies, investment funds, tech startups, and logistics operators. The key industries involved include chemicals and petrochemicals, the agro-industrial complex, consumer goods manufacturing, retail, HoReCa, IT, and high-tech manufacturing.

The forum will coincide with the 12th meeting of the Russia-UAE Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation, also scheduled for December 10 in Dubai. The intergovernmental commission aims to strengthen strategic partnerships, increase mutual investments, and develop technological cooperation. UAE Economy and Tourism Minister Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri and Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov, who co-chair the commission, are expected to participate.

The forum will open with a plenary session titled “A Future in Balance: Opportunities for Both Countries,” where speakers will discuss the current state and prospects of economic cooperation between Russia and the UAE, alongside the REBC’s strategy and work plan. Participants will explore investment cooperation mechanisms, the launch of the first Russia-UAE Industrial Innovation Track, and new tools for increasing trade turnover between Russia and the MENA region during topical sessions.

The program highlights key cooperation areas, from investment and technology to trade and logistics. The “Investment Opportunities” session will center on projects and mechanisms for creating a Russia-UAE investment platform. The “Russia-UAE Industrial Innovation Track” will launch an acceleration program for Russian tech companies and startups in the UAE and foster discussions on technology exchange. The business program will conclude with the “Export Corridors and Logistics Hubs” session, focusing on developing trade routes and creating sustainable multimodal solutions between the two countries and their MENA partners.

Alexander Vinokurov, Chairman of the Russian-Emirati Business Council, emphasized the evolving business cooperation between Russia and the UAE, noting the significant increase in joint projects interest. He highlighted the need for systemic infrastructure to transform potential cooperation into concrete deals, contracts, and joint ventures.

Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, remarked on the steady development of cooperation between Russia and the UAE, with booming trade and new investment projects opening business opportunities. He described the forum as a critical step in fortifying economic partnerships and expanding mutual opportunities.

Over 200 delegates are expected to attend the Russia-Emirates Business Forum, with registration having opened on October 20, 2025. Additional details about the event, its program, and participation terms are available on the Roscongress website.
