Tabuk:The United Arab Emirates is actively investigating an incident involving flydubai flight FZ1073, which was en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv but was diverted to land safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Counsellor Dr. Hamad Al Shamsi, UAE Attorney-General, has initiated the formation of a specialized team from the Public Prosecution to investigate the situation. This action was prompted by reports of an altercation in the flight deck, which required intervention by flydubai crew members on board.

The Ministry emphasized that the UAE judicial system holds the authority to investigate the incident since the aircraft is registered in the UAE, and national laws apply to any offenses committed on board, even outside the country's borders.

The investigation will cover all aspects and motives of the incident, including potential links to terrorism or any form of premeditated action. The UAE has also commended the Saudi authorities for their cooperation and management of the event.

In addition, the Ministry urged the public to rely solely on information from official sources and to refrain from spreading speculation or unverified details until the investigation concludes and the results are disclosed.
