Dubai: flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, today announced that Panasonic's Astrova inflight entertainment (IFE) solution has been selected for its fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The agreement with Panasonic Avionics Corporation, a world-leading supplier of inflight engagement and connectivity solutions, was announced at the Dubai Airshow for the 30 Boeing 787-9s the airline has on order, underscoring the carrier's commitment to investing in products and technologies that enhance its customer experience on board its growing fleet.
According to Emirates News Agency, Daniel Kerrison, Senior Vice President of Inflight Operations at flydubai, expressed that choosing Panasonic's Astrova inflight entertainment system aligns with the airline's dedication to innovation and improving customer experience. Kerrison highlighted that Astrova offers a platform for richer content, smarter personalization, and a more intuitive interface, enhancing the overall journey for passengers on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner when it joins the fleet.
Hernan Abbes, Vice President of Global Sales at Panasonic Avionics, commented on the partnership, stating that they are thrilled to support flydubai in enhancing the passenger experience across its fleet. Abbes mentioned that Astrova provides a fully immersive entertainment experience, while Converix will aid in maximizing digital engagement and improving operational efficiencies. Panasonic Avionics' solutions aim to help flydubai deliver high levels of service, comfort, and engagement to its passengers, further establishing the airline's position as one of the fastest-growing in the Middle East.
